As part of our growth here at TAC Healthcare, we are looking for a Mobile Health Screening Technician to join our team in Newcastle, on a full-time permanent basis. We are innovating new ways to meet client requirements. We offer a service which allows us to take a clinic to the client, minimising time away from the workplace.
The purpose of the role is to deliver a comprehensive and evidence based Occupational Health surveillance and screening service.
This key role requires you to hold a driving licence, allowing you to drive the screening van. The van will be based in Newcastle, but the role would involve travel outside of Newcastle.
The role would involve overnight stays away from the Newcastle area, and there would be a training period at our Aberdeen clinic, all costs covered by TAC Healthcare.
Do you have experience working in a healthcare environment and interacting with the general public? Most important of all, we’re looking for someone who’s flexible and highly motivated, with a calm and professional demeanour.
What you will do:
- Measuring and recording the following data; height, weight, BMI, peak flow, pulse, blood pressure, taking of bloods, vision screening, urinalysis, electrocardiography, spirometry, audiometry, drug testing, alcohol breath tests and fitness assessments.
- Liaise with medical and administrative staff on matters of mutual relevance in performance of professional duties.
- Ensure the screening van is stocked with the required consumables.
- Assist in administrative duties associated with patient care.

- Ability to undertake work away from the Newcastle area, involving overnight stays.
